 Overview

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Designer to join our MEP and consulting design team. The ideal candidate will develop and coordinate low-voltage system designs, including structured cabling, security, access control, CCTV, audio-visual, and communication systems, ensuring high-quality and code-compliant solutions for commercial, institutional, and enterprise projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, data networks, security, access control, CCTV, audio-visual, and unified communication systems.

  • Produce accurate drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.

  • Coordinate low-voltage designs with electrical, mechanical, and architectural disciplines to ensure seamless integration.

  • Conduct site surveys and field assessments to verify system requirements and infrastructure conditions.

  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, submittals, and technical specifications.

  • Support project teams during construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring design intent is realized.

  • Maintain and enforce design standards, templates, and best practices for low-voltage systems.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in low-voltage system design.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2–5+ years of experience designing low-voltage systems in MEP, AV, or ICT consulting environments.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design/BIM software.

  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA), low-voltage system design, and building codes.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schematics, and technical specifications.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with security, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and AV systems.

  • Certifications such as BICSI RCDD, CTS, or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with enterprise networks, data centers, or mission-critical environments.

  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and standards (LEED, WELL) is a plus.
